MUNI Meetup MNL on Zero Waste Ways at Home on August 11, 2018


#MUNIonThis: What are the impacts of household waste? What initiatives are happening locally to curb household waste? How can we maintain more sustainable homes?

Join us for a MUNI Meetup MNL on Zero Waste Ways on August 11 at Clock In BGC (High Street) to raise awareness on the impact of household waste and local initiatives to curb it, together with:

  1. Bea Misa-Crisostomo, Co-founder of Ritual, a fair trade, local, package-free general store in Arnaiz Avenue, Makati

  2. Rina Papio, Co-founder of Earthventure, Inc., which promotes the use of bokashi to turn biodegradable waste into compost

  3. Crispian Lao, Commissioner & Vice Chairman of National Solid Waste Management Commission; Founding President of Philippine Alliance for Recycling and Materials Sustainability * Moderated by Denise Subido, Managing Director of MUNI





We’ll also be featuring a package-free pop-up with a handful of zero waste / eco-friendly home products from different brands curated by MUNI.

WORKING PROGRAM:


  1. 2:00PM-2:30PM – Doors open for registration / pop-up shopping

  2. 2:30PM-5:30PM – Program proper (Introduction by Muni; Panel & Q&A; Group discussion; Summary + Action steps)

  3. 5:30PM onwards – Networking / pop-up shopping



Other items to help you lead a zero waste lifestyle will also be available during the meetup!

  1. P500 – Meetup Admission

  2. P1,000 – Meetup Admission + Zero Waste Home Set*

Inclusions:

  1. Snacks and drinks (please bring your own reusable bottles for water) * Each Zero Waste Home Set will include some green home cleaning products from Ritual (dishwashing liquid, enzyme deodorizer, laundry soap and baking soda), and upcycled flour sack produce bags from Muni.
