MUNI Meetup: Zero Waste Ways in Business on Nov. 11 at BGC

We had an overwhelming, humbling turnout at the last MUNI Meetup, and we’re all the more encouraged to keep bringing people together to share lessons and insights, and more importantly, support each other as we journey towards an increasingly mindful life and a more sustainable world.

Join us on November 11, 2-6PM at the 2/F Globe Tower in BGC, as we bring you a more interactive MUNI Meetup on Zero Waste Ways in Business, together with Globe myBusiness.

We’re looking for entrepreneurs / business owners, employees in larger corporations, CSR practitioners, sustainability advocates, and engaged citizen-consumers!

Some of the things we’ll be talking about include:

  1. Sustainable Consumption & Production

  2. The challenges and opportunities to reduce waste in business

  3. How businesses owners, employees and consumers can work together to implement sustainable business practices more successfully

We intend to put together an honest, constructive conversation with individuals from SMEs, NGOs, civil society movements and big corporations – united by the desire for a more sustainable world, regardless of their respective designations and affiliations, including:

  1. Anya Lim, Co-founder & Managing Director of ANTHILL Fabric Gallery, a social enterprise dedicated to preserving local handwoven textiles through contemporary fashion, which recently released PAMANA, a zero waste collection

  2. Ron Dizon, CEO of Bayani Brew, a social enterprise that currently makes farm fresh tea in PET bottles but is transitioning to glass or other more sustainable options

  3. Chrissie Torres, Founder of Mana Bites, a startup that offers wholesome snacks with a zero waste delivery subscription service

  4. Anna Maria M. Gonzales, Head of Sustainability at Ayala Land, Inc.

  5. Kin Lichauco, Head of Corporate Affairs at San Miguel Corporation

  6. Peterson Fernandez, Occupational Safety and Environmental Specialist for Globe Telecom

  7. Daniel Alejandre, a Zero Waste Campaigner from Ecowaste Coalition, one of NGOs involved in the recent coastal cleanup and brand audit at Freedom Island

  8. Pocholo Espina, a Zero Waste Campaigner from Save Philippine Seas

  9. Mabi David, a vegan cook for Me & My Veg Mouth and Sustainability Adviser for the Purpose Business
